Carolina - I have an award for you today - Please come and collect it later, darling? Beautiful photography once again, and the pigs are just wonderful!
And whist I like the original and I respect you posting them "as taken", I would still like to see the bottom one with a little extra contrast.
Black & white when developed in the darkroom always gave you to option to set a true black point and white point. It was never considered "cheating" but part of the process... let's not feel guitly for doing the same with digital :)
Manz, ah, yes, but, see, I have never developed my own photos, so I did not know that ;-) Up to now, coincidence was a BIG part of making nice photos. With the new camera however...gosh, the pressure ;-)
Don't feel pressured Carolina... takes the joy out of photography.
Not that I should talk! My family see me as the "photographer" of the bunch and there is an expectation to take photos at every family event. The "pressure" it made me feel has resulted in my not taking my camera ALL the time. I love taking photos - but I have to be in the mood ;)
You have a great eye - which is the most important thing. Everything else will come as you figure out the new camera.
Comments are very much appreciated. I will often answer your comment here too. So please click on the email link. Sometimes the most interesting part of a post are the comments ;-)
Skeletal - certainly mono. Well caught.
ReplyDeleteThese really are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteVery neat b&w's. Did look up the plant to see what it looked like in the summertime.

Well done!! Excellent photos. :)
ReplyDeleteThe remains of the flower looks like hessian cloth - incredible...
ReplyDeleteLooks a lot like that here today. Beautifully captured "found" monochrome. I might have a few of those to share myself in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful shot. I love the way hydrangeas look in the winter. I also like to photograph the skeletal ones in my garden.
