But our horses are very happy that they are allowed to graze there. And so are we because it means that our own meadow can get some rest.
Our neighbour's house is in the background there. Behind Evie's big butt ;-)
We live on the other side of the trees. Part of the field that is nearer to the house has much better grass, because they mowed that last year.
Evie also has some flying neighbours. They live in the stables. If winter comes they fly off to warmer climates, but in spring they return to their old nest.
You can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you want.

What nice neighbors you have! More grass means happy horses!
ReplyDeleteEvie's still as cute as ever. I love the swallow photos, you're so lucky to have them!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely views of your place. I liked the swallow flight shot very much.
ReplyDeletegreat sharing Sandy
ReplyDeleteSo are you doing Badminton next year?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very nice place to roam. I wish my yard was that big, but it might be harder to protect & keep it safe!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of some beautiful, contented horses !!
ReplyDeleteI like the swallow shots as well, especially that last one..
I love your horses! Evie is growing fast, isn't she? It was nice of your neighbours to let you graze them on their land to give yours a rest.
ReplyDeleteLove the swallow pictures too!
Wow...horses & birds...what a nice combination! I think that barn needs a cat too!
ReplyDeleteYour horses look very happy with the field. They are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThose birds are lovely as well.
She's gotten so big already. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. How nice are your neighbours!
ReplyDeleteEvie looks like she's growing up fast!
Evie is stunning, such a sweet face. Those swallows are magnificent images. Hard birds to photograph but you got them perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of the swallows! You are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteHaha - have you ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail?! Your European swallows reminded me of it ;P They really are very pretty birds, though. Is it just me, or does Evie look much taller next to Naloma than she did just a couple weeks ago?
ReplyDeleteYour horses are beautiful! Willem is marked very much like our mare, Stormy (she was in some of the roping photos). Evie is adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your cat Mozes looks just like our Barack who is only 10 mths old and already a seasoned rodent catcher. Alas, he also catches the birds, which I wish he would not do!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will be looking through your blog more later today, but I like it already. :)
