I like they way the eye is deceived into thinking the scale may be quite other than it actually is, so the tines become a bridge and the handle an oil pipe -or something!
Wonderful detail Carolina. I love the way the rake divides the grass from the - is it sand? The grass is so sharp, and I see someone left the rake out in the rain, as there are drops on the handle!
I thought the exact same thing as rhymeswithplague and Daryl, but I couldn't figure out what the big pipe running out to the pier was. I really love the angle.

That is a very sound image. Good and strong, different also.
ReplyDeleteThe angle of this shot makes me think that someone has stepped on the prongs of the rake! Great shot.

ReplyDeleteVery imaginative, looks huge though.
ReplyDeleteP.S. going to trot back to forty foot now .... lol
Unusual shot that works really well in mono.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was a pier jutting out into the ocean....
ReplyDeleteLove the photo!
I LIKE this one. I had to look at it for a few seconds to realize it's a rake. I like photos that make you think.
ReplyDeleteIn B&W, I can comment asking : " do you want a little haircut ? "
ReplyDeleteVery well-done Carolina.
I da to read the text for that one - well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective on this shot. Beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteOh nice shot ... for a minute I thought it was a wharf extending into the water ..
ReplyDeletelove this image!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo. In the summertime we often use those in our garden.I guess you do too.
ReplyDeleteSand trap? Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI had the same initial reaction as Jinksy. At a glance this looked like something much, much bigger than a rake!
ReplyDeletebut it didn't lose any of its magic when I realized what it was. Great shot!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a sandtrap to me as well, with the rake sharing itself with the sand and the grass. Now can we get back to the golf? Good one.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI had the same reaction as Jinsky. In the last blog I saw a bridge and now I thought first I see pillars. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
I left you a tag on my blog!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I agree with jinksy ... the proportion-to-perspective ratio is such that you're not quite sure of the size of the object. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis put a smile on my face :) I don`t know why I find it funny, but it is! Sooo creative - well done :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Love the perspectiv.
