Our friend helped us. Which was extremely, no EXTREMELY, lovely and sweet and we LOVE him for that and I will tell you later why he is the GREATEST friend anyone can have!
Here he assists the foal in her first attempts of standing up.
Neighbour Willem was very interested to know what was going on.
Mother and daughter.
Some time today I will try and pick out a name for our little (actually quite big) girl out of all the suggestions you lovely fellow bloggers gave us.
He/she whose name I pick, will receive a lovely surprise.
Well, dear blogfriends, I am now going to check if Naloma and ? are still doing OK. '
I will keep you posted.
We are proud and happy 'parents'.
(foal's daddy is somewhere in the side bar if you want to meet him)
So, it's the Grand National next?
ReplyDeleteFor a name you should perhaps try dome of the Blogger security words.
Mine is Phtedl - doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it.
Congratulations! She is gorgeous and so like her mum.
ReplyDeleteFollowing on from what Chairman Bill said above, my word verification is 'poptili'. That has quite a nice ring to it!
Congratulations on the arrival of your beautiful big-little girl, we're SO happy for you :D
ReplyDeleteWell done Naloma, clever girl!

A beautiful foal - and what an amazing daddy!!!
ReplyDeleteHow about Phaedra?
Phaedra is an Ancient Greek name meaning ‘the beautiful, the bright, the shiny one’. It is related to a verb that means ‘to shine light on’.
Congratulations to all four proud parents :)
Congratulations, what a lovely foal, I can just imagine her gamboling in the spring sunshine next to her Mum. How about April Showers for her name. My word verification was aphod sounds more like a bug, no good for a foal.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeletedid I say Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.....
What a beautiful sight, lovely would you say chestnut brown?
Not a bit like her daddy....
I would call her:
MonaLisa.com lol or
Esther as in Easter....
I've been out of the running with a horrendous migraine, but your glorious news has made me feel better. What a beautiful baby you have! Naloma is so clever!
ReplyDeleteMy word is heviseni - no 'oma' there, but it reminds me of 'heaven sent' which fits the occasion I think.
I just popped over yesterday to see if there was any news on the baby front! The Dughallmor beagles told us the good news this morning. What a beauty.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Your pal,
Petey
Awww, yay!!! She is SO lovely :D I'm so glad to hear it all went without a hitch and now she & Naloma are doing well. That last photo is absolutely precious. I love her wispy little mane :)
ReplyDeleteI kind of like Dina's suggestion of doing something with a word for Easter since she was born so close.. it does start with 'E' and you could probably come up with a -loma for it.
(My word verification, by the way, is completely boring and a REAL WORD - series - how often does that happen?)
OMG!!! A BABY!!! She's sooooooooo sweet Carolina!!!
ReplyDeleteUm.. so sweet she's like candy. Yeah. Candy.. Hmm.. I think a good name would be Skittles. :P
She WILL be featured in this weekend's Camera Critters, right?
OH, I am have been waiting patiently with baited breathe for this day!
