ABC Wednesday, U is for Unwrapping

I find it fascinating to see how the flowers of Nectaroscordum siculum bulgaricum Unfold. Most of the pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them (please do and be stunned ;-)). Not sure why it doesn't work with all of them. Blogger works in mysterious ways.

ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Nesbitt. Visit her for more entries, or join in the fun and post your own.

  5. Ooooooh! That's lovely! And it's a great idea for 'U', too!

    I don't think I've ever seen that flower. It's beautiful. :)

  6. I just had a poppy unwrap itself in my garden. The green furry bud cover popped off and .... behold ..... a magnificent scarlet red poppy appeared. I love flowers and yours is gorgeous. I would certainly love one in my garden.

  7. Now that is a clever unusual way to use the u. Love the progression of the photography to see each one unfold.

  8. I've figured out why some do and some don't (photos, enlarge): html code is wrong, a href in some (which do) and img in others (which don't). I too find it extremely annoying! Because it always happens with the ones you want to be able to show completely.
    Great sequence though

  9. I have said a lot of things on my blog, but never in a million years would I ever say, or until today would have known someone who would say, "I find it fascinating to see how the flowers of Nectaroscordum siculum bulgaricum unfold."

Thanks for another first-time life experience.

  14. Ok.. watch while I try to be all profound. Just like flowers sometimes it takes time for people's real beauty to come out and be seen.

    That was good, huh? ;)

  16. The growth of plants amazes me. We have a gooseberry bush in our front yard that has gone from insignificance to towering over all flowers in about three weeks time. I'm almost of the belief that I could have set up a chair by it and actually seen the growth happen.

  17. Thanks for stopping by earlier!

"Unwrapping" is an excellent choice for "U." If I were doing this series I probably would have gone with something more obvious, like "underwear." Or, if I were feeling ranty, "useless."
