Some time ago I decided that I wouldn’t join memes anymore, because: a) it takes so much time to visit everyone else on the list and b) it started to feel like too much pressure to come up with something original every week, but then I visited Jay at the Depp Effect and she joined this great new meme: Sunday Selections. A meme, started by Kim over at Frogpondsrock, that ‘allows’ you to post those photos that have been sitting in folders on your computer, doing nothing. Waiting for an opportunity to be shared with others.
Now, I think this is a wonderful excuse to bore you with more of my photos, so I’ve decided to join this meme.
You see: my best photos, or the photos that I consider to be my best up till now (because I haven’t taken my best photo yet; I haven’t even taken a really good one yet, but as long as there is life there is hope) I put up on my photo blog (link can be found at the bottom of this blog). Photos that can illustrate a story or just seem to be suitable for my ‘normal’ (using the term ‘normal’ very loosely here) blog I put up here. And yet there are more photos I don’t want to throw away, but that are not suited for posting either. Unless there is a really good reason. And this meme is a good reason. So… here they are: photos that did not have a purpose until now. If that isn’t a happy ending… Or a happy beginning?
Evie & Willem
Naloma
Don’t worry, they won’t all be horsey photos. Just wanted to get these ones of our horses ‘of my chest’ so to speak.
So, if you have folders full of photos on your computer and haven’t found a good excuse to post them yet, here’s your chance: visit Frogpondsrock and join Sunday Selections.
That top photo is stunning. and what is it about horses ears that make me want to make clay pots with swirly decorations that have that gorgeous curve. Maybe that I was born in the year of the horse?
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in these photos are gorgeous and you have made me happy.
These are stunning! I love the atmosphere in the fog. Thank you for your lovely comments on my photos as well!
ReplyDeleteOh Carolina, that first photo is stunning. The second made me smile. I love horses and Naloma is gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteThese really are gorgeous photos and how fortunate for you to have found a display place for them.
ReplyDeleteI understand what you mean about memes - they can create pressure so I try to be quite relaxed about them (by not posting for weeks on some of them - oh, dear!!)
Well feel free to put up as many doggy and horsey photos as you like. They're lovely. I do visit your photo page occasionally, and despite your reservations, you're a pretty good photographer, leaps and bounds ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteHorses in the fog, and sweet horse's breath hanging in the cold air -- I'm delighted that you shared these wonderful photos with us. I look forward to more of your Sunday Selections.
ReplyDeleteOh dear these photos are amazing. The atmosphere of the dawn? and fog around these beautiful animals is gorgeous. You can even see the warm breath on the second photo.
ReplyDeleteYou are an artist!
How do I top 3 stunnings, 1 very beautiful, 1 gorgeous, 1 wonderful, 1 very good, 1 lovely, 1 amazing, and 1 nice.
ReplyDeleteI think your photos and their subjects are nothing short of SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!
I wish I could take photos that were as 'bad'as yours! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
everyone,
ReplyDeletecan I just shout out a big THANK YOU for your nice comments? THANK YOU!
I will now try and land in my shoes on Earth again ;-)
Not boring at all. Horses in the mist are always lovely and evocative, especially to a gambler such as myself.
ReplyDeleteI like the photos but is it always misty in the place where you live?
ReplyDeleteIt could almost be the lower Rhine area in Germany.
I love the ethereal quality of these pictures, very lovely :)
ReplyDeleteOh yea!
ReplyDeleteI adored these"thick fog" horse edition selections. Reminds me of home right now.
Yea,I got tired of the meme nearest me (Sunday stills) it got boring-though it did grow me sometimes.
I love the thought of how random the photos can be in "SUNDAY SECTIONS". I think I'll have a go too!
very lovely.
