I’d love to add some whoohooh sounds, but you’ll have to make them yourself. Please feel free to do so while reading this post and studying the photo.
I visited a very old graveyard yesterday and made some photos. ‘t Was just the weather for it. Nice and gloomy. When I came home and took a closer look at the shots I made, I saw something weird. Now, have a look for yourself and tell me… do you see something ghostly in the left side of the photo? Somewhere behind the container that you can just see, and that added so much je-ne-sais-quoi to the charm of this old cemetery (not), and under the tree. Not a Sycamore if I’m correct.
You can click on the photo to enlarge it.
Weird or what?
You can find another photo of this graveyard, a very different shot, rather beautiful if I say so myself, on my photo blog.
Yup, I see it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely eerie.
You didn't mention if you were alone at the cemetary?
IT,
ReplyDeleteis one ever alone? If you can see it too, I probably wasn't :-)
Carolina that is freaky, I totally see it.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Mimi,
ReplyDeleteit is, isn't it?
Definitely one person, possibly two, walking out of the photo, head inclined, not in any hurry. If this were film I'd say it was a double exposure. Ooer!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... yes, someone walking out of the shot, head down..weird. Definitely so. Cemeteries are great for photos...
ReplyDeleteA big wooohooo here. Spooky there is something there.
ReplyDeleteactually that is aunt maude<><<>i seen her in several cemetary pohots
ReplyDeleteJabblog,
ReplyDeleteI haven't a clue what double exposure actually is, but since it isn't film... Eerie isn't it?
Karen,
I do like cemeteries like this. Not the neat ones with all the plastic flowers. The old ones have charm. And apparently ghosts walking around there. As long as they don't bother me ;-)
Marja,
Good eh? Just the place for it too :-)
Putz,
Aunt Maude? Shall I say hello to her if I ever visit again?
Oo-er ... ! Looks like a little old lady with a walking stick, head down, walking off to the left!!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if you took this with your camera set on a tripod with a very slow shutter speed? A low speed will make people look transparent, and if it's slow enough, make them disappear altogether!
Jay,
ReplyDeleteAu contraire mon amie (or something like that): shutterspeed 1/500 sec (quite fast), f/5 and ISO 400 to be totally accurate. And yet there definitely is someone lurking about.
I see it, whatever it is. I don't believe in ghosts, per se, but I'm not one to totally discount eerieness. Who knows for certain when it comes to stuff like that?
ReplyDeleteI CAN see it, what is it?
ReplyDeleteA spectre? Whoooohoooo. Just as well you didn't see it at the time, you might not have had the nerve to take this photo.
I can see it, it does look like a person walking.
ReplyDeleteIt looks the perfect day to take shots in a graveyard, I like the eerie feel. I think you should go back and see if they turn up again.
But I wouldn't go alone...lol
Oooh very schpooky
ReplyDeleteSaw the spook, but even spookier than that: I think the container has disappeared!
ReplyDeleteSuldog,
ReplyDeleteI think you should always have a healthy mistrust concerning these things. But you can never be sure of course. I've experienced some weird things, and even I don't believe in ghosts. Until I definitely meet one that is. And even then...
Friko,
it would have freaked me out :-) Actually, this particular graveyard did make me feel slightly uncomfortable. See next post some day soon.
Holly and the rest,
Hmm, no, spooky place ;-)
Baino,
LOL very graveyardy eh?
Mara,
Okay, take off your sunglasses and look carefully ;-) In the left corner you can just see a grey metal container. Charming place to park the thing. And it looked like it was parked on a very old grave too. Very respectful.
Tell you what- it's feet are very firmly walking the path!
