Can’t help it

A couple of weeks ago hubs and I were in the car, going somewhere. Well, why else would we be sitting in the car. Although this particular car has a great sound system and one would be forgiven sitting in the car just to enjoy some wonderful music. But we were actually going somewhere. On our way, we approached a railway crossing. The red lights were flickering and the crossing barriers came down, so we stopped and waited until the train had passed. While we were waiting I definitely felt some sort of weird tremble coming from the car. I asked hubs: “Do you feel that weird tremble?”
“I don’t feel anything”, hubs said.
”I definitely feel sort of a tremble on this side”, I insisted, wondering why he couldn’t feel it.
”Don’t feel a tremble”, hubs repeated.
”Okay, now I don’t feel it either”, I said. “Yep, there it is again. A definite vibration!”

Hubs still didn’t feel it and I was ready to roll my eyes and say something like: “I do not understand why you can’t feel the tremble. It’s definitely there. Remember when I smelled gas and you didn’t. Huh? Remember that? We could have been blown up into a thousand little pieces. And now I definitely feel a tremble in the car and you don’t? HA!”

And just before I ‘went off’ it dawned on me. I had my mobile phone in the back pocket of my jeans and someone was calling me.

I admit that I definitely live up to the reputation natural blondes have.

  10. Funny stuff. I thought that perhaps it was leading to vibrations from another approaching train, from your side, or something like that, but I couldn't figure out why only you would feel it. Hah!
