Kicking!

And alive too. Sorry for being a bad blogger. I blame it on the broken wrist which made typing difficult. And also nothing blogworthy happened. Anyway… that’s my excuse. I’m no longer plastered (haha) now, but the hand and wrist aren’t working properly yet, so I have to visit a physiotherapist regularly. Sigh.

To make it up to you, I’ll post some photos (I can finally hold the camera again) that I took with the macro lens. As soon as I can find the time to read up on you all, I will. And I do hope all of you, my dear blogfriends, are fine. I’ve missed you all, but it’s my own fault. I know.

The creatures below visit my garden. They are a hoverfly, damselfly and very small grasshopper.

I have a huge photo of Wa's face on the truck with "Equine Photography" on it. It is a conversation starter.

    1. Thanks, I've bought a macro lens early April this year and it has hardly been off my camera since. I can really, really recommend one if you have a DSLR and enjoy photography. The hand/wrist is (far too slowly) getting better, sigh :-)

  8. Just been over to your photo page actually, your macro skills piss all over mine! Hope the wrist is healing. I had 10 weeks in a cast. Free wristed now but the joint's banjaxed and the tendon is still too long. Least I can type. All good.

    2. Hmmm... banjaxed and a tendon that's too long doesn't sound good. Sorry to hear that. Hope it heals well and quickly.

I broke my scapoid (small bone just below the thumb), which has a reputation for being a bad healer. But that's okay now. What isn't is that I've developed a mild case of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome also known as dystrophy. But it's getting better every day and I can type too. Hooray ;-)

  10. Oh , I wondered where you'd gone !
You have my deepest sympathy . I broke mine before Christmas and know exactly how painful it is and how much of a struggle it is to achieve the smallest thing , even once the plaster has gone . So these wonderful photos are breathtaking in every way !!
(As is the fact that you're faithfully going to physio . I never quite got round to it , which was probably a mistake , since it's taken eight months to be able to do virtually everything again . Your tenacity is obviously paying off already !)

    1. I tell you... after the first therapy session I did have a sleepless night, wondering if I even dared to go back to that horrible, sadistic guy who calls himself a physiotherapist. But I've been back, made clear that I don't normally scream and sob if someone touches my hand and that, if he'd torture me like that again, I'd kick him. He then did behave himself and we're on therapy-terms again ;-)

Sorry to hear about the long time it took (and still is taking) your arm to completely heal. Wishing you all the best with that (and I'm really hoping that mine will heal more quickly).
