Sunday Selections, THE time and place to post those photos that have been aimlessly hanging around on your computer. Kim from Frogpondsrock hosts this meme. If you want to join in, just hop over to the rocking frog ponds and follow the almost non-existent rules.
Here’s my very random selection for this Sunday.
Christmas 2011 and perhaps you can see the cleverly crocheted snowflakes that were made by the bloggy brilliant Jinksy, who sent us a few. I never knew snowflakes could warm someone’s heart as much as these ones did mine.
Remember my very first Bun shoot? (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, see here.) This is friend, carrying what she was carrying then, but in a different way, and her horse.
See… we do lunge Evie using the caveson sometimes.
I almost feel this photo should be X-rated, hehe.
Baby woodpecker
These are fabulous photos! I've never seen a photo of a woodpecker before (except in encyclopedias). Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow! The woodpecker is so cute - he almost looks like a cartoon! Love the flower too, it's a stunning picture :)
ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely and warm, complete with crocheted snowflakes.. and.. Evie has a very nice extended trot from what I can see -
ReplyDeleteThat woodpecker photo is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Thank you. The baby woodpecker is super cute. Is that a silver birch the nest is in?
ReplyDeleteAnd the flower is glorious. Thank you.
@ Elephant's Child: It is a silver birch. A dead one that has since fallen down. So the woodpeckers have to make a new nest this year. I had to lay belly down on the grass of our neighbouring golf course for quite a while, much to the surprise of the golfers who suddenly found a whole new obstacle in their way and risking my life - not wearing a helmet, to be able to take photos of this woodpecker family.
ReplyDeleteLove them all but the woodpecker is a great shot.
ReplyDeleteI am just a wee bit proud of my woodpecker pictures, though I didn't have to sneak up on him.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. I am intrigued by the woodpecker. I am also grateful that you risked life and limb to get the photo. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNice tree! It must have grown in a wide open space to get so fat! Unfortunatly I'm allergic, so we have a fake one... i burn pine scented candles, but it's just not the same.
ReplyDeleteThat woodpecker is super creepy... but the photo is brilliant!
Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeletegreat snowflakes The photo of the woodpecker is just amazing I love the flower too
ReplyDeleteAll lovely as usual but being a bit of a stalker, I love the interior of your house, it looks stunning
ReplyDeleteSomething's amused the woodpecker but it's Bun and Mum that really touched my heart.
ReplyDeleteThat baby woodpecker is so cute! As is the baby person by the way. And the not so baby Evie.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your friend, carrying what she was carrying! And Evie seems to have such a gorgeous action - she's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBut the baby woodpecker takes the biscuit. What a great shot!
I had no idea woodpeckers had such bright eyes, nor that you were so excited by flowers.
